The AI-Ready Organisation: A Practical Readiness Checklist
Beyond the technology: the decisions, skills and governance that determine whether AI initiatives stick.

Readiness is organisational, not just technical
Two companies can buy the same technology and get opposite results. The difference lives in decision rights, workflow ownership, data honesty and how change lands with the people doing the work today.
The checklist we actually use
Value: can you name the metric each AI initiative should move? Data: do you know where the required data lives and who owns it? People: is there a named owner for each workflow being changed? Governance: is there a policy for what AI may decide alone? Adoption: do the affected teams help design the change, or hear about it at launch?
A 'no' on any of these predicts trouble more reliably than any technology choice.
Start small, architect big
The winning pattern pairs a narrow first use case with infrastructure decisions made for the portfolio: shared model gateway, shared retrieval layer, shared evaluation practice. Value lands in weeks; capability accumulates for years.
